Completing continuing education requirements can be confusing and frustrating!  Here are some brief bits of information that will hopefully be useful:

National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) requires 48 CE Hours every 4 years, 6 CE Hours of which must be in Ethics, covering 2 hours of Standard V: Roles and Boundaries.

American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) www.amtamassage.org requires 48 clock hours (which means CE Hours) of continuing education every 4 years for renewal as a Professional Active member of AMTA.  NCBTMB Approved Providers (which includes all classes and workshops on this website unless otherwise indicated) meet the requirements for providing these credits.  As an AMTA member you may submit your CE Hours during membership renewal (by writing course information on the back of your renewal form) or online when each course is complete.  Unless you are audited by AMTA, you do not need to submit documentation or verification of courses you have completed.

Illinois State License renewal requirements are 24 CE Hours every 2 years, 2 hours of which must be in Ethics (no Standard V requirements).  NCBTMB Approved Providers (which includes all classes and workshops on this website unless otherwise indicated) meet the requirements for providing the credits for Illinois license renewal.
