For beginning and advanced bodywork therapists (technique adaptable to both table and floor work); perfect for estheticians; others, with advance permission of instructor.
Head, Neck and Face work is a most important faction of a bodywork session — and can be difficult to successfully execute. This class is designed to give a practitioner confidence and deepen his/her proficiency with technique.
In this workshop you’ll learn and practice:
- An “opening” meditation
- Stretches that are personally and professionally useful
- Self-shiatsu of the head and neck
- Demonstration and paired-practice of head, neck and face technique
- Question/answer time for clarification

Prerequisite: “Head, Neck and Face Shiatsu I”
Building on “Head, Neck and Face Shiatsu I”, this class will focus on specific meridians and tsubos. You’ll deepen the technique you learned in Level I to include choosing where and how to work for a client’s specific needs. based on Five-Element theory using specific meridians and tsubos.
In this workshop you’ll learn and practice:
- MeditationStretches for the head and neck
- Locations of meridians and tsubos in the head, neck and face
- Uses for specific meridians and tsubos in the head, neck and face
- Demonstration and paired-practice of technique
- Question/answer time for clarification
Detailed handouts of uses for and locations of the tsubos will be provided.
